23rd  In Miami, Ken Harrelson wins the professional baseball players golf tournament for the second year in a row, taking the top spot by a record 17 strokes over second-place Ralph Terry. Harrelson cards a 290 on the municipal course. Davey Johnson is third with a 312, a stroke ahead of former champ Albie Pearson, and two ahead of Alvin Dark. Harrelson flew into Miami on the 20th having finished a distant second to Peanuts Lowrey in a celebrity-baseball player tourney in Las Vegas.
